Liv Ullmann

One of the best Norwegian actresses of her time is Liv Ullman, whose popularity rose in the ’70s, with the credit from her spectacular acting performances for some award-winning movies. Dubbed as one of Swedish director Ingmar Bergman’s actress-muses, Liv has appeared in ten of his films, including Persona, Autumn Sonata, The Passion of Anna, and Cries and Whispers. All the movies were released from the late ’60s to the late ’70s.

In 1971, Liv received a Golden Globe award for her performance in The Emigrants. Later on, she also received over 40 awards for that single-acting project. Today, many younger viewers associate her with her appearance in Miss Julie and Remake.me, both released in 2014. She will not be interviewed again, she claimed in a December 2020 interview published on Kk.no.
