ALI MACGRAW

One of the greatest and promising newcomers in the ’60s, Ali MacGraw has gained critical attention for her film Goodbye, Columbus. She catapulted into worldwide fame after her Golden Globe Award-winning film, Love Story. The former blockbuster sweetheart was one of the most prominent box office stars in the ’70s and had both her own engraved spot at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. She proceeded to star in blockbuster action films, and just as she was at the peak of her career, she took a six-year break. And when she came back to the silver screen, she raked in the big bucks for the hit movie Convoy. Clearly, she still had it even after her absence on-screen.  Apart from acting, she is a strong activist against animal violence.

Now, at 82-years-of-age she has continued to pay homage to her film Love Story after being interviewed by Ben Mankiewicz over at CBS News. In fact, with the movie grossing as much as it has, the actress probably has a big enough credit score to live a comfortable life outside acting.
