Andrew McCarthy

If you remember the famous Brat Pack from the 1980s, then you have most definitely heard of Andrew McCarthy. The actor initially rose to Hollywood stardom following his performance in the Hollywood coming-of-age classic St. Elmo’s Fire. In recent years, Andrew gained notoriety for directing the comedy series Orange Is The New Black.

Outside of Hollywood, Andrew busies himself with writing. If you didn’t know, he is actually a travel writer. His investment into his writing career has clearly paid off because, in 2015, National Geographic published an article of his titled A Song for Ireland. However, besides his career accomplishments, Andrew is also proud of the family he has created. The actor-turned-director is a devoted husband and father who spends most of his free time with his brood. It’s definitely nice to see this 80s teen icon evolve into an accomplished adult in Hollywood.
