Dustin Hoffman
An American director and actor, born on August 8, 1937, Dustin Lee Hoffman had a career in television, theatre, and film since 1960. He is famous for his resourceful portrayals of vulnerable characters and antiheroes.
In 1980, he won the Academy Award for Best Actor for Kramer vs. Kramer, and again for Rain Man in 1989. Acclaimed mainly as one of the most exceptional and gifted performers in history, Dustin Hoffman first drew approvals for starring in the play Eh?, where he won a Drama Desk Award and Theatre World Award. Hoffman first wanted to get a degree in medicine and enrolled in Santa Monica College. However, after a year of studying medicine, he left and joined the Pasadena Playhouse. In 2020, sources claimed that Dustin Hoffman would return to the stage in Our Town’s revival by Scott Rudin, where he will play the Stage Manager. However, because of the global health crisis, theatres will be closed until 2021.
