Steve Jobs And Laurene Powell Jobs

Apple founder Steve Jobs first met Laurene Powell Jobs in October 1989, shortly after the NeXT Computer debuted, when he was giving a lecture at Stanford Business School. The two became involved with each other, and in 1990, Steve asked Laurene to marry him. The two wed on March 18, 1991, at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park, and they remained married until Steve passed away at the age of 56 in late 2011.

Laurene described her connection with Steve as “very beautiful and rich.” Her marriage with the American business magnate and industrial designer made her learn things that have influenced her current work. Now, the billionaire businesswoman has a net worth of $25 billion. She used the billion-dollar fortune she inherited after the death of her husband to expand her businesses and put investments in companies that fit within the parameters of its philanthropic mission. By the looks of it, Laurene is intent on keeping Steve’s legacy alive.
